Re: Tf2 modelling
Looking cool but the overlapping green and pink blocks will probably cause you some texturing probs.

Re: Tf2 modelling
Aye the stuff he's posted is cool. What program are ye using btw terb?
Re: Tf2 modelling
I've been monitoring this thread. I don't use 3dsmax though, I have no clue about that program. I use cinema4d which is not ideal for modelling game based content since it's a prog you can polywhore the shit out of scenes.
Here some stupid stuff from my hd.

I'm not really much help here I think, you better ask Buck about exporting stuff and 3dsmax in general.
All I can say is, watch and read tutorials, build the stuff shown in to tutorials to get familiar with the interface, options and mechanism of the used program.
...and here a quicky I did a few days ago.

The extrude tool is your friend. Cutting tools are good too.
I made this for you Terbulus, to give a demonstration what can be done in roughly 25 minutes out of a cube.
Not really a tf2 model though but it's one consistent poly mesh, just an example.
This was more or less freestyle, I made quite a few such ships already. Same concept, different looks.
