The advantage of Chrome is that it's a fresh project with relatively small codebase yet, ergo faster than Firefox. It also comes with a built-in web developer tool like Firebug in Firefox, but the latter is only an addon. So I say Chrome has the potential, while I still prefer Firefox because I've known it for a long time, it's also been developed for a long time, expecting more stability as a result.
If there is a browser I loath, it's all the older versions of Internet Explorer (6, 7, 8). They don't follow standards, and it's a pain in the ass developing web pages with cross-browser compatibility. IE 9 seems to break this habit but I have no real experience in that version so I'm just guessing.
