I run tf2 in a window (at same res as desktop) so i don't have to suffer alt-tab delays and woes
I usually move the window after launch so the border isnt visible

try running tf2 in a window if you play at same res as desktop and adding the -noborder option to your startup. V handy for switching to vent or irc or any other proggies you might want while playing- Fixed startup crash related to loading the tf2_playerstats.dmx file
