sugar dissolves properly and the milk doesnt curdle.seriously man i make the best cup of tea
Bowsie, if I was wearing a hat, I would tip it to you good sir!

I also make my tea by putting in the milk first. I know it sounds odd, but once upon a time I read an actual scientific study which determined which was the best way to make tea, milk first, or tea first. Now it was some universtiy like Cardiff or Dundee, so we're not talking about an MIT study here, but the results would be the exact same, in a blind taste test, milk first makes the better tasting cup of tea.
Oh, and it isn't a case of the milk curdling, it scalds, as you are putting a small amount of colder liquid to a larger amount of hot, which is why you often see little bits of burned milk floating in your tea if you do the tea first. Adding the hot tea to the cold milk totally avoids this scenario as the hot liquid gradually increases the temperature of the milk.

Also, I like a whole lot of milk in my tea, not that I like it weak or anything, as I'll often just leave the bag in!

It depends on the tea Dharma.

In the US, I think the tea we are talking about would be called Black Tea.

My dad always gets pissed off when on holiday on the continent when he has to specifically ask for milk for his tea :-D . Especially when he's had to explain that he wants "Tea" not any of that herbal shite.

If you're in a hard water area adding milk first stops that nasty scum on the top of your tea. And I have to say tea without milk is like a pub without guinness....

Well what I do is, I put the milk in cup, then I pop in the spoon, then you add the tea bag and slowly pour the hot water over it immediately, before the tea gets wet with milk.

If you do it correctly, the tea bag will inflate and rise to the top of the cup as you pour the water in, which strains though the bag into the milk. Leavbe it for about a minute until the bag had submerged and then squeeze it with the spoon!

PERFECT CUP OF TEA!

Apparently pouring the water in from a height encourages proper brewing aswell. Not sure if it actaully makes a difference but feels like a snazzier pouring motion anyways.

Has anyone here tried "bang" actually?chai tea, lots of milk, some cloves, nutmeg and weed, good shit, gets you so baked. You need to boil the milk and weed leaves at a low temp for a couple of hours but man it's worth it.I've had it a few times at festivals by asking for the "chai special" at a particular stall :-)

When i was a wee bit younger and living at my parents house i used to have a table tennis table (TT) in the garage. Whenever my parents headed off on holidays the lads used to come up for a game of TT. This was the begining of the most exclusive and awesome club ever.
The TTTJJ club or Tea, Table Tennis, Jungle and Joints Club, AKA triple T double J Club.
None could be had without the other and let me tell you, playing TT while drinking Tea, Listening to some quality Jungle being spun by myself and me bud on a big ass system and topping it off with a few blifftas was awesome. You could get some serious games going too!
Ah, the good owld days.
