Bulgaria and you - stop being ignorant TODAY!
Right, since I'm the only bulgarian here, I thought I should share some of the more notable things so you lads and ladies can pretend to be smart.
First of all, our anthem - pretty inspirational if you know the words.

A few interesting facts about us and our history:
- Our ancestors arrived to the Balkan peninsula from Asia (think khans), and after handing the Byzantine empire it's collective asses found the Bulgarian nation in 681.
- The Cyrillic alphabet was created in Bulgaria in the 9th century and has been used since by the entire Slavic language group (including Russian) and is the third official alphabet of the EU, along with Latin and Greek.
- If it's labelled "Made in Bulgaria," expect it to fall apart within 3 days. Unless it's an AK
- We produce 85% of the world's rose oil. Some countries store gold or oil as their national reserves, a portion of ours is rose oil.
- We are among the best in the world concerning internet connectivity.
- Most of our criminals prefer to scam or hack rather than threaten, mug and pointlessly kill people. The streets are so calm I've never felt unsafe, regardless of what hour it was.
- Several years ago we were responsible for the best counterfeit US$ bills in both quantity and quality.
- Bulgarian government refused to extradite our jewish population into Nazi Germany during WW2, even though we were allied with them.
- The bacteria Lactobacillus delbrueckii subspecies bulgaricus is native to our country. It's the main bacteria involved in the production of yoghurt.
- Bulgarians like free stuff way more than you do. Illegal game servers typically have a major bulgarian population. Every one of us has torrented. A lot. My university uses cracked software for Christ's sake.
Some notable bulgarians:
- John Atanasov, the son of a bulgarian emigrant to the US, co-developed the first automatic digital computer - Atanasov-Berry Computer aka ABC.
- Stefka Kostadinova is the current women's world record holder in the high jump.
- Viktor Antonov is the lead designer for Half-Life 2. He based the post-apocalyptic City 17 on our capitol... yeah, it's actually that shitty.

Oh, seeing SmokeDef reminded me.
- If you send a package via Bulgarian Postal Services, it will arrive in approximately 15 months, if at all.
