Re: Attention IPod owners
Im just asking because I´m interested in using the editing tools from mac, they are really good. If I have reasonable specs hopefully it wont drag its ass on the floor when running the editing tools (video, audio, etc..) right ?

I also liked to mod my old PC, both hardware and software, the mac is like a nice pre modded hardware/software like set up.
ill be honest, 2 years ago I was mac? no thanks apple are cvnts
still not changed my view of apple as a company but they do make some good computers

Re: Attention IPod owners
It's not the products themselves that I dislike, it's the way apple market and sell them.DucatiGary wrote:Devvil wrote: still not changed my view of apple as a company but they do make some good computers

Of course you can use Wine, but I'm not sure how well Steam runs or TF2 for that matter on WineDucatiGary wrote:I love unbuntu, I got 2 machines running it right now both replaced windows machines, one a win 2003 web server and the other a win server 2008 running sql stuff.eXeC wrote:

I try most the Ubuntu derivatives and prefer Linux Mint 9 at the moment which is based on the latest Ubuntu 10.04 stable release. I also use the USB boot creator here http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal- ... -as-1-2-3/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and use it in LiveCD mode to run any PC or Laptop with an alternative Linux OS. Really handy if your windows OS has become unaccesible for any reason or if you need to use another PC (like a friends) and don't want to affect their Windows installation in any way.
Things like Parted magic http://partedmagic.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a fantastic utility you can install onto a USB Memory Stick which has a web browser and a host of other applications including disk utilities from partition sizing to file recovery and best of all it's quicker than windows, faces few security issues and is free!
Apparently there are more good Audio players for Linux than there are for Windows, plus they are all free. Some good Rippers and Burners too, plus Linux especially the Ubuntu based Distributions are so easy to use, with Auto updaters and software managers where you just pick what software you want without scouring the web.

i dont like itunes music stuff because if you copy paste your music to another direction you have to link any single itunes entry to this new direction instead of just giving them a hint where to look, really shitty i dont like

thats only if you have itunes arrange your stuff, and in any case it will just make a copy of it and sort it into the main folder if this is the case.Llama@bad wrote:i dont like itunes music stuff because if you copy paste your music to another direction you have to link any single itunes entry to this new direction instead of just giving them a hint where to look, really shitty i dont like
if not you can have your music all over the place, where ever you want, I cant see why you would want it that way but you can, its just a setting.
