..the difference is, "WE" are not one people here in europe. "WE" are divided by lots of different languages, heritage, culture.
Europe or the EU is not a single country with some historical events making us one people.
Not even the end of ww2 made that happen as we all know the east got shut off from the west back then. The reunification of Germany happened 20 years ago and a lot of people in Germany are still separating people in east and west germans. What a great unity.

I don't understand how people can come up with this concept of USA vs. Europe in a historical, ethnic or economic way. Sovereign countries still pursue their own interests or at least they try ...and they should. I'm not a big fan of this homogeneous european union turd.
But it's just the way it is I guess and we finance corruption all over Europe now.
European states are now regulated by Brussels ...more bureaucracy equals more freedom.
...I think not.

I've not really paid much attention to all topics, but I hope this doesn't have any basis in my original
post in this thread. It was just amusing, a country with many strongly patriotic people celebrating
each year and some not really knowing why.

Not the direction I would've taken if I wanted to bash americans, there's far too much bad things
that individuals, companies and government do in the name of the people to be complaining here
about; to people I come to chat and game with as an escape from all those things.

I usually keep my political views to myself and try not to confront any of you with it.
I am not bashing americans and you who are americans should know that.
I could bash on any government of any nation it just so happens to be about America again.
Don't call me anti-american because I am not ...I like America but what I don't like is big gov trying to regulate all and everthing

What I don't like is generalising about europeans.
By doing so, the Irish, the German, the Dutch and so on get mixed into a homogenous slush of culture which just isn't the case.
Best example that "hurts" people's feelings would be to say the British and the French are alike.

...and you know you are ...Brits are just Frenchies living on an Island.

I totally agree ...and now I bash on a really bad country ...North Korea ...they actually get food supplies from the USA and the conditions people are living in are far worse than me and you could imagine.
