I really love how the press is spinning this is a bad British country doing bad things to America. Its not, this is a fucking multinational company cutting corners in the name of profits. Its exactly the same thing as the banks screwing over everybody and you can be guaranteed every other oil company makes similar decisions its just BPs stupidity came home to roost first.

I dont think Flynn was trying to deny that it was BP's fault, just that a bit too much of the blame has been aimed AT England, which doesn't really help the situation or anyone. drilling for oil is dangerious work and never should corners be cut in order make profit, not when human lives are at stake so in that sence they dont know wtf they are doing

Same can be said about aeroplanes. If there's money to be made and risk assessments to be done then for the right amount of money we are all expendible!

I've never heard of any payouts relating to plane crashes so therefore if they save enough money on manufacture then the loss is already accounted for.!!!

I think they do pay out on plane crashes, but I think the sum is pretty paltry unless you have some legal dependents (i.e kids)
