I read that after the last major volcano outbreak in Pinatubo (1991) the ashes got blown across the world within weeks and caused the average global temperature to drop by 0.5° C for about 2yrs.
So far the current eruption hasn't caused any volcanic gases to reach the stratosphere yet though, unless it gets worse then nothing similar will happen this time around.

Other than that, the Public Health Agency of England is advising people with severe respiratory problems to keep any outdoor activities to a minimum, but everyone else should be fine.

anyone noticed in that picture how the ash has somehow avoided ireland almost completley. Since that volcano has decided to pop its load we've been having great weather here, actual sun and shit, the world must be fucked!
