Re: New people say hello HERE!
We have a very nice blend of Dirish (Dutch and Irish), Canerican (Canadian and American) and Brumglish (Brummie and English - me and Jase, although he would say Wenglish because he thinks I like having sex with women called Flossy and Dolly) accents.Advent wrote:More english people to balance out the overwhelming dutch influx, excellent

Just think of yourself as Unique Toco.
Lucky for me I'm not a true Brummie... but a Yorkshire man.. rather than a Yam-Yam!

Re: New people say hello HERE!
do u guys have nick names for ppl from every inch of the bloody planet for something lol, wtf is a brummie anyways lol and if ur gonna use a slang term for canadians call me a canuk(can-uck)
Re: New people say hello HERE!
LOL.. pretty much...
A Brummie is someone from Birmingham
A Yam-Yam is someone from the Black Country (near Birmingham)
Barnsley folk are classed as Tykes.
Some Sheffield people are Dee-Daa's (no offence)
I'm sure there is a shit load more
Ass to that the localised greatings and it gets complicated real quick.
For instance, some regions use 'love' or 'honey', round here, Black country they us 'Bab' or 'Babes' (friggin stupid that one). Other use 'dear', 'duck', 'chicken', 'cock'.
No just to further complicate the leaving issues in britain there are a whole load of different terms for Bread.
You have of course got the different brands, ie Ciabatta, Focattia etc but we have different names for pretty much the same thing. We have:
Bread, sliced
Teacakes (to me is just round bread - to others it has currents in)
Balmcakes
Baps
Buns
The looks you get when you screw it up are funny.

Baps are also breasts.
