Pouge I agree wholeheartdly. The whole shit situation on the money side of things is a disgrace. But the problems only came about when our money man (gaydamek) stopped paying the bills.

Same can be said of Chelsea if Roman goes, Man City if the Sheiks up and leave. We had a money man (albeit not with the same amounts as those two, but still enough for the time) and the recession hit him and he took his cash out.

Watch out for the demise at Liverpool, they owe silly money and have bet it all on staying in the champiions league every year. If they dont make it in this year then the club could be very cash poor and hit the wall just like us (although I'm sure someone will come in as they have a bigger history and more prestige and better facilities and blah balh blah..)


We will go down, we will lose all our players and we will struggle like hell next season.

But that is then and this is now and for now we have another moment in the sun, another chance to play at Wembley, and this time it was without the help of sugar daddies and without buying tons of talent. It was through luck, hard work and determination and we will have our day again.

Liverpool's demise is impending, with City's financial muscle it's only a matter of time before they break into the top4. Out of United, Chelsea & Arsenal, Liverpool look the least convincing. With Liverpool's current financial status they won't be able to cope and I'd expect the likes of Torres and Gerrard to leave and With their mounted debts, they'll be trouble. But it's Liverpool & with their prestige I'd presume someone would save the day.

Yeah someone will come in. Liverpools a big enough city to have a few wealthy scoucers in it.

Out of the top 4 Arsenal are the only ones that have any real finncial stability (if all wealthy owners just got up and fucked off) The only large debt they have is the stadium which is easly payoff able with the large gates they get.

The next 5 years will see a lot of clubs fall big time I think and it going to be interesting.

I think it's about those overpaid football players were brought a few thousand feet. It really should get back to how it was years ago. Play for pride rather than £80mil quid. The money they spend should be put back into our own up and coming players rather than buying em in from other countries.

Damn right I love football but £100,000 a week for kicking a ball is ridiculous. Even £10K a week is half what most people earn in a year! The problem is even mediocre players are on silly wages and until owners and chairman stand up and say actually fuck you, im not going to pay your silly wage demands then its not going to stop. They're so worried about failure that they pay these silly wages even though other clubs wouldn't.

I managed to watch it from the first goal and the looked the better side. Fair play to them for sticking in there and giving everyone something to think about.

Trust me Bloke, we werent the better side. Spurs passed around us and played the better football in all but the final 1/3rd. They had it all but the finish and the longer we kept them out the better the chance we had.

My brother called it before the game saying that either team would win because the other team slipt over and low and behold, Dawson on his arse, ball in the net. After that spurs had to push whcih meant we could catch them on the break, which is where the silly tackle for the pen came from.

All in all a good day. Now bring on the pensioners!!
