equalizer taunt exploit or whatever

I found this out yesterday after I tossed a sandvich to Komodo at the end of a round on arena_mach4.
He was going to do the taunt with the grenade. To his surprise he took off like you'd do with a rocketjump and survived the taunt.
I did the same thing today with Attie[HUN] and he survived with half of his health in the spawn room.

I don't know if this is also possible with standing on a medpack but it would make a neat little surprise if you can ever pull it off in an ongoing game.

I don't know or want to speculate about if valve did this intentionally.
It's a funny little thing, for now.

Yeah happened to me in my regular idle server too. Took three taunts for me to kill myself. Was taunting in the spawn area, no medkits around.
Weird, think that was the only time it happened to me too...

you can survive it with gunboats or if overhealed
just seems to do 200+ explosive damage rather than simply certain death
