What are you thoughts on it then? I noticed the advert banner during a Fringe episode (I think). I was considering getting a hold of it. I don't know if you saw the original one Heavy? Just wondering how you think they compare?

Wouldn't have thought Heavy was born when original V and the miniseries was shown.BBloke wrote:What are you thoughts on it then? I noticed the advert banner during a Fringe episode (I think). I watched the first episode, and while I have a few gripes, I'll definitely watch the rest of it (the initial run is only 4 eps long).
Compared to the original, they are doing a lot of things differently, and by the end of the first episode, while the final bit is a bit clunky, I'm genuinely interested in seeing how it progresses.
However, I do miss certain things from the original, mainly the voices, but there is a decent enough reason why they don't speak with a low rumbling buzz anymore.
I'm not sure if it will ever have as iconic a scene as this though:
Man, I remember seeing this one night on ITV as a kid, and it completely freaked the shit out of me!

I thought it was alright, I didn't like some elements, like the automatic hostility of certain characters.BBloke wrote:What are you thoughts on it then? I frown upon stuff like that, that's why I didn't like Ender's Shadow.
What I did like however is the spin with the black guy, that was fuckin' class. He's actually a reptile!
But I always laugh when hear them talking about V's
