I've got no hats but all inventory slots are full. I need to do some house keeping!! There should be at least a minimum time played before rewards are giving. At least that would give new players a chance to foreful achievements and feel like they've earnt something.

Oh well... here's waiting for my level 999 uber sausage!

they have been keeping it hush hush, all i have heard is it will be revealed when we can start trading but god only knows when that will be. one would assume items with a higher lvl will have better stats then there lower level counterparts by the time they are finished, the question im wondering is will ur defult gear start dropping as well with level upgrades, think aboot it, me running around with a lvl 100 wrench, id be voted off the server garenteed lol

Well they won't be able to make the higher level weapons that much more powerful, as it would ruin the game.
But take the medic gun, for instance, perhaps the highest level would give you an extra second of Uber or something!

i cant imagine it being too extreme but in the end it will all balance out, prolly get away with a % of say 15% boast to stats on weapons like example a lvl50 item would be 50% of the total 15% available or 7.5% and with the current craptastic system of getting items it would work out nicely i would think

To be perfectly honest if they make the different level weapons more/less powerful, it would be the first update that could make me seriously consider no longer playing the game. What a huge pile of cock that would be. Just cos someone found a higher level ubersaw than I earned they'll usually beat me in a medic melee fight. I have no problem with someone like Putte always beating me, but thats cos he's better than I am, not because he's luckier.

Agreed. Hopefully they turn into a real Reward system, it could be easily done by re-accomplishing achievements, since they are already done, you couldn´t know if you made them again or not. When you redo like 50% of the achivements for one class you could get a random item, and the rarer the achievement the better chance you got of a higher level weapon.

It sounds nice in theory, but would prolly bring back farming servers

Gotta agree Bosco.. It would be a pile of shit!!!! I can understand the company wanting/needing to attract new players and revenue. It would be far better if they just get all the classes updated and push for one last "class level" update and leave the game as is.

I'm not adversed to change but if they were planning on differentiating weapon bonus by weapon level then it's just as sad as it gets.

Now doing a different hat by weapon level and whether it's yielded or not is a far better idea as it effects nothing but aesthetics.

As for leveled up weapons, valve needs to realize tf2 isn't WoW. Random drops should be left in the mmo realm, where uncertainty keeps you glued to your chair. Even so, in most cases, when it comes to mmo's, you know what the hell you're supposed to do to have a chance of getting said drop. As it is, there's no way you can earn the leveled up guns and the luckiest will be the most frowned upon. Look at me, for example. I hardly play the heavy and got the hat. You would expect someone who plats spy/scout/medic most of the time to get one of those 3 hats and people who play the heavy (like advent and anubis) to get the heavy hat.


Even though it's ugly and out of place.


Whenever someone tries to attract two very different niches, they'll ultimately get laughed at.
