Animal noises

Post by Innonexess » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:14 pm

Okay, odd topic, i know, but i recently found out in different languages, dogs are said to make different noises. Well, i mean, when your describing the way an animal calls onomatapicly(sp/is it even a word!?), like in English a dog would say "woof woof", however, in Italian, they are said to say "Bow Wow". Anyone else know of any other languages with different noises animals make?

Yes i know, fucking random topic...

Us bulgarians think dogs sound more like "Dzaf dzaf"... I'm not entirely sure how you spell it in english. Pigs go "Gruh gruh" for us.
Great job, BBloke!

I thought pigs go "gluh" but everyone else says oink (even though ive never heard a pig make a noise even remotely similar to oink)
