Thanks guys. I'm not looking to hook it to my pc as I have the mrs to consider. So just a cheap easy to use option, so I think the PS3 will be the way to go. I will probbably get (or build) a seperate pc to use as a media centre in due course.

Lazy - Tekken is a favourite game so no worries. But when it comes to the Playstation there is only one game that really matters.

I think it costs a tenner and you download it, same with Tekken 5: Online, or whatever it's called.

I would avoid the media center with the missus.. i spent about a year trying to get Media Portal to work nice for the missus on some old shit cans.. and never got it to work well enough for her to use.. but once she had left my humble home i got it completed with some help in less than a few days.. works a treat for me but confuses the shit out of people who aint used to it... i would wait out on the media center it will confuse her 2 much

Just use the PS3, like I said, that TVersity is so easy, that even my missus can use it. Once the PS3 is on, it just appears as an option under videos or music and it streams it directly from your PC.
Or, as there are 12 USB ports or soemthign ont he PS3, just buy yourself an external HD and plug in in.

Ay I had considered it, but no blu-ray player, no tv tuner (so can't record telly) and to be honest the PS3 does prety much everything else that it can (plays movies via USB, downloadable content, web browser etc etc etc). Plus the PS3 has wipeout. And Tekken. And Gran Tourismo. Ahh screw it I'm not going to lie - I want a console as well you see, so the PS3 ticks all the relevant boxes.
