We all know things just get cheaper and cheaper. Well after a little moonlighting and a small amount of cash coming my way I decided to get this:

Seemed too much of a bargain at overclockers to let it slip by!

I can heartily reccommend the 260 gtx. I got a factory clocked one and it's excellent, and the news is that you can pick them up for about £150 - Nvidia are almost losing money on them apparently!

I always consider them but I haven't had on since a 4600Ti card. I've always found them picky on drivers although I've read they are a gamers card and the developers work closer with game developers for those extra tweaks and compatibilities. I guess I'm just a fan boy.
Can't grumble on the price £119 + £9 shipping. It should arrive at work tomorrow.
Sharp, I'll post up depth when I have it. It's a two slot card but I'd hazard a guess it's under 97mm. By the looks of it the heat pipes may be a bigger concern? It would have been nice to find one with a Zalman flower attached. These silly flat fat gimmicks just don't seem to cut the mustard. Fingers crossed this heatpipe system helps.

Im still running a 3750. Its coping at the moment but GTA4 hits it very hard. Im waiting for the 5 series to come out and then upgrade about 6 months later. The prices will have dropped and I tend to upgrade every other generation. You get more of a feel for where your moneys gone!!
The 4870 is very nice and i wish i had the readdies now!!

Last card's I had were a pair of 1950 Pro and a ATI 9800XT. There just seems little development in the graphics card department. I noticed they've been tweaking the 4870 to produce the 4890 but it's not worth the price diff. The best I've read is a pair of 4770's for £200. Together they are outperforming most single card variety's from both camps.

Weird, I have a 9800GT and I get framerate drops more often than I'd like, but mostly on bright maps with lots of people together (Omaha mainly).
Great job, BBloke!
