Well then the joke's on Corea, cause his birthday only appeared in the afternoon yesterday (i.e. after noon)!

I'm too gulliable and trusting. I believed the Shearer story at first, when I saw it before going to bed on Tuesday before someone pointed out the next day I had seen it after midnight, so then I didn't believe it till about yesterday evening when they were still going on about it and I decided it must be true. I'm still waiting for Alan to turn around and shout, "April Fools!"

Shearer is doing a very smart thing.

He's been dancing around the manager's job in Newcastle for years, and is taking it now, at a time where even if the team go down, it won't be blamed on him!

Yeh he has absolutly nothing to loose. Just wish Newcastle had announced it a day earlier or later! By the end of the day I wasn't sure what was and wasn't true...
