Great keyboard and I've never even bothered to use the extra gaming buttons, but with your flight sims, I'm sure they'd be useful!
There's a thought but I've not touch a flightsim since beginning of last year.
I do have an X45 flight stick with 60+ programmable keys LOL.. fully macro programmable and VAC voice to command program configed!!! LOL
60?! Surely you would never remember what each individual one did!! And I'm guessing VAC doesn't stand for Valve Anti Cheat in this case lol

Well you'd be surprised how many I needed during flightsims.
For instance, you have the normal weapon buttons:
1 - Guns
2 - Cannons
3 - Rockets
4 - Bombs
Then:
Gear
Flaps
Brakes
Power
Power Boost button
Prop pitch up
Prop pitch down
Supercharger up
supercharger down
You've also got:
Canopy slide
Seat position
Tail wheel lock
Radiator setting
Changes to view can include:
Gunsight View
Close
Normal
Wide
Just incase you may need them:
Nav lights
Landing lights
Then there's bombing:
Bomb sight alt up
Bomb sight alt down
Bomb sight speed Up
Bomb sight speed down
Bomb sight angle increase
Bomb sight angle decrease
Bomb sight automation
Plan level stabiliser
Dive brakes
And for those carrier landings:
arrestor hook
There are alot more relating to view modes but those would generally be my basic set.
As for VAC. It's a Voice command program so you can shout "EJECT EJECT EJECT" and it will send the bail out command... etc.

followed by screams and the radio going dead and crackling.
Hang on, wasn't that Doom?

LOL.. that did happen on a few occassions.... I led a 12 bomber formation assault on the US fleet in one of these:
It was all co-ordinated from the cockpit from take off to landing. Most died but we did make a few holes in the ships. Not bad for flying pretty much blind using compass bearings to find the buggers and watching the dials for alt and speed.

I get the feeling I should be impressed from this statement, though it doesn't mean a huge amount to me lol. Kudos, Bbloke

I've a G15 and am very happy with it. The screen is very useful. But I'm a man who likes bells and whistles.
I use it to display music if it's playing (usual title & artist etc., next 2 songs in playlist and a small visualiser), all my important computer info (cpu, ram, time, free hdd space, dl and ul speeds with a graph) or what all the macro buttons are programmed to do so I don't have to remember 54 assignments.
Programming the buttons is seriously easy. Just hit record, the button you want, the keystrokes then record again. You can tweak and name the macros later on if you want.
The only thing I might say to you before you get it that might dissuade you is; Will it fit?
You mentioned that you slide your keyboard under the desk on a tray. A lot of those don't give much clearance. With the feet up and screen open it's ~6-9cm high (depends on tilt of screen). Screen closed and feet down it's <4cm but that's not ideal for getting the best/most comfortable use out of it.

Cheers BBloke! You're the grease that oils the cogs of Festers!

I got the G11 and I'm pretty sure it will fit!! LOL.. I can happily type with the keyboard being shoved in or only half way out.
I can see the problem of the G15 lcd panel standing too proud and I'd probably never see it, so it's not needed... and the G11 has blue keys... double bonus as case lights are blue

and so is the cyborg evo joystick

My G15's got blue keys too. Or do you mean more than just the backlight?
