I can live with that. Just don't be snipers, haha. :)

one thing that will completely annihilate your idea of the more hours you play the better you are:
exfane has less hours of TF2 and less hours of soldier then jase. but I don't hear anyone saying jase rapes exfane :P
same for me. btw. I have less hours tf2 then jase :P

tf2 stats do not differentiate between actively playing and standing stationary in spawn talking poo.

Oh snap!

Great work on the post xexes, managed to cover a lot of ground without painstakingly covering ever last detail. Good common sense for any new player to take all the tips to heart, and figure out the fine tuning themselves.

Oh and heavy never needs any other gun than sascha, the shotgun is better swapped for a sandwich for saving your life when on fire in my opinion.

Zero or Hero?
Second time you've pointed that out.
Two reasons for that 1: I play medic a lot, 2: I play a lot when I'm so tired I can barely move the mouse. I'm sorry I'm not as good as you are with your 378 hours.

Can you advise if im a uber or just too stupid to stop playing player.
=1085.7hrs played
Edited the hour classifications... I'd say you are distinguished, keep in mind you play drunk a lot. =D
Toco wrote:great guide xexes although i dont agree with the lil female note u made as u are dharma are just as good as the rest of us and have prolly put in a fraction of the time as most of us ...
I've had a few disagreements with this already but I would say that the great majority of females are not and will never be as good as a male gamer. I don't know if DHARMA AGENT is one of those gals who breaks the mold but I do know she's clocked at least 800 hours, maybe more than that on the OD server. I'm considering actually editing that line to x1.5 the hours for a female gamer.
Taekwan-joe wrote:But the whole "don't play exclusively on a single one" stuck out to me. I'm sure theres allot of people here on Festers that don't even know there are other servers.
The reasons for this are because if you play exclusively with the same people, you start to adapt your skills specifically for those people. For example, you see a soldier and say, oh, that's Jase! and bum rush him because you know he's drunk off his ass and his reaction time is super slow and he can't aim that great - even though, on another server, this wouldn't fly at all. Also other servers because you see new stuff and strategies. Like a kritz deployed on sniper with SMG taking out an entire team. You won't see that on Fester's.

I couldn't look at Exfane's hours because he set himself to private. Jonni, you have 1,000 hours clocked. The hours are just a good estimate, but they don't really take into account other things, like how much you played TFC, cracked hours, hours when Steam is down, resetting your stats, or how good you are at similiar games or even other FPS in general. Because I know some guys who appear to have only ~300 hours but facing them it seems like they have x4 that amount.

Thank you for the tips, I added them.

I kinda meant for this to be more of a discussion and spurr more gameplay postings like it.

It's a great way to spur discussion.

I need other heavies to argue with, Del, Kab...i can't think of any other regular enough heavies that knock about our server. I'd love to see someone using the shotgun effectively but for me any time you haven't got sascha spinning should only be spent moving into a position to get her spinning again.

And you're bang on about the scout xex, your job is to harrass the enemy team, kill the medics, pick off the wounded, distract and irritate. As for weapons i'd say you should only be using your pistol for retreating and picking off other scouts. Apart from that you use your main advantage (speed) to dart in and use the scattergun, which is devestating.

Good stuff Advent! I wish you were on last night when I wrote this but it was like, 7-9am England time =O

Anymore tips for the other classes? I'd say that medic and pyro are pretty much well talked about but I feel like heavy especially is lacking.
