Dude k'nex were awesome.Advent wrote:I messed with k'nex long after the appropriate age, made a working crossbow with it!
I made a working mousetrap out of them for a science project.
It didn't kill the mouse, but it triggered a door to close when the food was tampered with.

Alas, I have zero useful technical knowledge, or experience using power tools, so I closed the door on that particular dream years ago........sniff sniff sob sob.

Are they still making that show? Haven't seen one for years except on Dave, must be at least 4 years since they made it?LazyEagle wrote:Ah Johnimus, I would absolutely love to go on Scrapheap Challenge! Could The Force be with you? A toy due in stores this fall will let you test and hone your Jedi-like abilities.
The Force Trainer (expected to be priced at $90 to $100) comes with a headset that uses brain waves to allow players to manipulate a sphere within a clear 10-inch-tall training tower, analogous to Yoda and Luke Skywalker's abilities in the Star Wars films.

Re: Some customer care folks make me laugh
I've got my Dad's old collection of Scale electrix in my cupboard, there's loads of it lol including a ton of accessories. I should get that out again soon...tho i've never had the greatest luck with them, there's always a dodgy connection somewhere or only 1 car working

All I remember about scalextric was that I was so bad at making the car go around the track normally, that I specifically designed courses that it would inevitably result in mayhem - just to see how far the little car would fly.
