Best ever game music?
Best ever game music?
Hey which game has the best music? I was playing Total Anihilation the other day, and the background music is sublime. I love the way the music that plays as you build your base changes dramatically to the 'battle music' as you attack or come under attack, it really fits the mood as I don't think any other game I've played has.

best ever is hard to tell. there are tons of good tracks.
I really liked the Arcanum soundtrack but this game is quite old now.
The Music for Tribes2 was also pretty good. I also like one of the tf2 openings very much
...uhm ...the one with the drums ...lol
...Rainbow six ...
...and so on ...too much to recall

Best music from a game would have be music from Turrican written by Chris Heulsbeck. Although I like all the tracks from Wipeout I feel those tracks are from commercial artists rather than "composers".

I enjoyed the music from the games of "Command & Conquer: Red Alert". Background and intro music was mainly Heavy Metal, which I'm not usually too keen on. "Hell March" is the most famous track from the game and was used as the intro for the first two games but in the latest game they've changed the theme to a more patriotic Soviet style military song, which in my opinion isn't half bad: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=lDQ7hXMLxGc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just some other brilliant song I found while browsing through youtube. It's not game music though:

I love Tifa's song, on piano.DragoonKnight wrote:One winged Angel being the theme of the great sephiroth, otherworld due to it being very apocalyptic and ukele de chocobo which is very relaxing and exotic sounding
But I think because FF7 is such an amazing game, and was at that part of your life where everything is epic, the songs just take me back to that time in my life.
