I dont play too much pyro but I must say that the flare gun is mostly useless. The shotgun is much better.

Also I find that I tend to play the pyro like a spy that cant cloak. I wait until the right moment like when the opposing team is distracted. Running head first at the enemy will rarely work unless they're absolute knob heads.

 i love toasting ur asses and axing u for shits and giggles, but scouts that run away and spies who takes shots from afar hack me off though, i can almost get round a single heavy full circle without dying,
i shall still continue to burn u all merrily
Lots of love DragoonKnight of the Pyro Bros :greentoke:

There is only one spy that can shoot me from across the map and kill me every time. I can't stand it. I do love the flare gun though. I used to use it all of the time. I find it really effective for the demo\soldier who likes to exploit, or snipers who won't leave me alone. When more people started playing pyro I switched to the shotgun. Oh, and playing pyro as spy is best with the backburner! Really, the blow back thing is nice and all, but it seems it's more of a show-off device. I find it easier to kill multiple enemies in one life with the backburner.

Jeah i agree with you, but for me the blow back is to survive better against soldiers, demos.
Because I often use the flame and hit them with the axe tactic against most enemys...

I would love to see a 3 Pyro team with one flamen everyone and shooting missles back on go around and flame from behind and one just axing^^

The pyro wiggle is the reason a pyro will charge a heavy every so often and come out almost completely unharmed leaving the heavy fully baked.

I'd agree with that. A few times I've found myself being blown to pieces by a pyro who's just refected my own crit sticky at me just before detonation. :P
