What's your favourite Christmas film?

Post by LazyEagle » Wed Dec 17, 2008 2:35 pm

As its the time of year, I thought I'd start this thread about people's favourite Christmas film.
Now these can fall into 2 categories, A) films set in and around Christmas, and B) films which you have a particular memory of being shown at Christmas.

I'll start with my favourite Christmas film, Die-Hard (and to a lesser extent Die-Hard 2).
Second for me would probably be Gremlins!

1) The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (Animated film from the late 1970's) - It had snow in it and was a must see for me over christmas if they ever stuck it on.
2) Star Wars - A New Hope.. it was shown in the UK over several years and was always a fave to see at chrimbo.

It's quite good having the great escape on in the background around Christmas, wouldn't sit down and watch it the whole way through again tho, too long lol. And I quite like the Santa Clause film as well (the first one, the rest are crap). The BBC film lineup looks a bit rubbish this year (well ok not rubbish cause they are showing some good films, but I own most of them), think the only one I'll watch on the Beep will be Superman.

Yea, that's a good one. But it can't be that Jim Carrey crap. Old cartoon.

But, doesn't get much better than:

Christmas Vacation

And if I'm in the right mood:

Love Actually

Ah, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. One of the last Chevy Chase films I remember seeing.

But seriously Corea, Love Actually? Really?
As its Christmas, I'll say nothing more on the matter.

I agree with Lazy, I actually saw that one last week. =)
And if not the Lampoons, probably the Charlie Brown Christmas, third favorite is It's a Wonderful Life
