I hope this will be canned, because it removes ammunition from it's original resource cycle. The spy doesn't need ammo much , but all of the combat classes do.

My suggestion would be a flat percentage (e.g. 20%) gain for every successful backstab kill. That way successful spies are rewarded, but Joe Average spy with constantly recharging cloak meter won't nick any little bit of ammo on the ground. The latter make up 99.99% of the spy population anyway!

Nobody noticed how fast enemy spies decloak, but when u decloak yourself it takes ages :p

No, they are rewared when hitting/killing enemies with the ubersaw to fill up quicker their uber .
Maybe it was needed to have a reward system to re-fill cloak quicker, but not this way.

What could they possibly give the scout instead of his current weapons? The smg like was originally planed? A bat that can hit enemy projectiles? Perhaps a bat that gives him a 3 second speed boost when he kills someone with it in the same way the heavy's gloves gives him crits.

I'm not looking forward to the scout upto either but it will be entertaining. The spy though.. wow.. faster cloak replensihment = sniper deaths by the dozen Now if only they could allow backstabs whilst cloaked... mmmmm
