it's a fiasco, yet another broken game released to the PC market.
DRM BS designed to lock-down a user and push membership of extra-curricular software, in order to harvest more gamer-data for the ever elusive 'market demographic'.

i'm targeting the righteous demographic there, that's good, yeah... lots of people buy righteous goods.

Such a clusterfuck of pain and suffering, GTA IV PC install, that Valve are apparently offering refunds for folks who bought off Steam and cant get it to run

so many cries of woe over this, congrats to those who eventually got thru the install process

Now imagine your one of those ppl who got through the entire steam install process, dodged the DRM bullet and then the game crashed cause you have a Radeon

I have to agree.. took me near 3 hours of constant click and BS to get it to work from a shop bought disk let alone try and fight with the version that cam out on steam...

Almost turned me into a GTA hater but i am over it now lets hope to fuck i NEVER have to go through that style of a setup again..

Yep, if you look at every other game where there was a bad-ass copy protection it usually got removed or at least castrated within the first three updates.
