Snipers have to go!

First note which section this is in.. yes thats right "Random Shit!" so take this with a pinch of salt but I thought it was worth posting up.

+2 points for headshots on snipers.. well it has to go. Why? Because it's gay. I mean, come on.. all they have to do is stand around long enough to gain 100% crit and away you go!

Ressurrect the petition to remove the nsiper +2 headshot bonus!

Just thought it would be worth quoting the original post here. The point of this thread started out, not to get rid of snipers, but to address a unfairness in the ranking system. Of course snipers shouldn't be gone from the game. Selby, you made some very good points in your above post but to be honest you could have stopped after your first one

i know the topic has mutated but there seems to be arguments for/ against a class ban for a particular night. thinking about it, im neither for or against it. Difference means progression.

Regarding the extra point for sniper headshots... Let's just first get the stats working again. Kinda pointless of debating on the point system if the stats are f*cked up

I play sniper 85% of the time and I am a regular Fester player. for me it's hard to get in the top 10 although my average kpd is about 1.7. I have far more kills and a better kpd with less hours playing then some of the other players in the top 10 but somehow it's just difficult to gain places as a sniper. Take the extra point away and snipers won't make the top 50 imho.

6/. Stats are wrong anyway, we have n00bs who play once on the server becoming #1 when people play 50-60 hours and are down at #100 or so.


7/. Maybe re-calculate the way stats are done?

But more playing time doesn't = more skill - look at Jased for an example! Just because you play for the longest on the server doesn't mean that you are the best player on the server.

A KPD of 1.7 is pretty great! who cares about the top 10 man. But as you said yourself, you're not a headshot kinda guy and you often go for the safe body shots to help the team. If that's the case, then this points change will do very little to change your score as you're a body shot kinda guy!

Euhmm I will always try to get headshots when I can, thats just the skill of a decent sniper. More headshots than bodyshots. If I remember from my stats I have +- 40% of headshots when sniping. I'll try to get you more in the head next time, that way you'll remember better!
