Doom3 was the first horror game I played, WOW that scared me when the monsters started appearing after walking through the mines (or whatever they were) to find the missing scientist, atmosphere was terrific in that game.

Might try Left For Dead then, once I complete Hl2 Ep2 and HL original

I still haven't finished HL2 let alone go near the episodes. Anytime I get stuck I give up after 2 or 3 attempts and play this on line game you might have heard of called Team something something

I went through HL2 on the highest difficulty setting, but for the life of me I could not get past the bit where you have two choppers to shoot down after invading the beach (before Nova Prospekt I think) so after numerous attempts, I admit to using God mode for that one fight.

I found Quake a little creepy on the harder levels when I started gaming, but it didn't come close to HL1 (vent crawling with 30hp and a crowbar =D).. nowadays there's Ravensholm on HL2 and F.E.A.R. for thrills.

Ahh, Ravenholme, I was there, completely out of ammo, 4HP, taking on the dead with the crowbar! And I did it! (Ahem, after about 5 attempts...lol)

I'm really looking forward to left for dead as well, a few of you may remember Chris and Sykotic on festers a while back, and I'm living with them this year at uni - so I'm looking forward to the 4 player coop a lot (Kinetic also will be living just down the road, so i'm gunna slap him to get it)

Anybody know if the co-op is over the internet as well? I hope so

I could never get into AvP.. for some reason the excitement elluded me... Ravensholm I loved... got nailed on the first run after going gung ho at em... then realised I could use the gravigun and the saw blades to great effect.
