Gaming conventions?

Hi all...haven't been on for ages,

I was wondering who here is going to Gamecon? Last time I remember one or two of the regulars here went to it (Tae-kwon Joe if I remember correctly...).

Ok, so I followed the link, and while it looks pretty intertesting, there's no game on there I really play!

now if a bunch of Fester's regs decided to go on a session (perhaps witht he intention of getting banned fromt he event), then perthaps I may wander along.

I'm sure that PC Gamer do somethign in Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire every year. It's basically a massive LAN party with camping (of the tent variety)

Yeah I went this year. Wasn't great to be honest, though I was told this years one was particularly rubbish. I went with DIT so got there for free and we had 2 massive boxes of free red bull so was drinkin shit loads of that. Also me and a few friends put a CSS team together for the laugh. Non of us even owned a copy of it. It was probably the worst game of cs ever played. It was hilarious. I remember turning around and asking "How do you plant the bomb?".

One of the highlights for us was playing street fighter 4 in the hotel room with the high def projector we had.

We did play a bit of TF2 but couldn't really get a big match going. Would have been amazing if the Festers crew had crashed it. You guys should definitely come next time!!


EDIT: I wont be there for the next one but will definitely be there for next years one.
