I think I bought Monkey 2, but I had a copy of Monkey 1, including a photocopied pirate wheel for the copy protection!

Its quite strange actually, I'm quite young, so the first monkey island I bought was Monkey Island 4 (i.e, the one that everybody least likes). Yet, it's my favorite, because it's the one that brings back childhood memories for me. I played The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition just recently, and when I finished it, the first thing I wanted to do was to play Escape from Monkey Island again.
