It'll be nice to see what they'll do with the next movie though . I've tended to be a Babylon5 fan especially as the series drew to a close. The shadow wars were a well written set of episodes by one writing.

I agree with you totally there Bbloke.
Babylon5, while the sets looked completely cheap ass, was an excellently written show, and especially the Shadow War!

The Next Generation films were a bit pants alright, with the exception of First Contact, which I think is easily in the top 3 Star Trek films of all time.

What's interesting about this new film is that they've essentially gone back and rewritten the history of the entire Star Trek universe, and done it legitimately, but saying that someone went back from the future and changed EVERYTHING!!!

I'm looking forward to it, but it's going to be very difficult to believe that punk kid as Captain Kirk. all the others I'm fine with, I just hope New Kirk can deliver!

Agree with you both entirely. I'm looking forward especially to Zarchary Quinto as Spock (inspired choice) and Simon Pegg as Scotty. And lets be fair, anyone playing Kirk will be better than Shatner! (controversial!)

Babylon 5 was indeed excellent. Was also a big fan of Stargate SG1 and Farscape; but TNG and, of course, the new Battlestar Galactica are the kings of the sci-fi series.

Incredibly controversial!!!!!

In fairness to Shatner, the original series would never have lasted so long on reruns without his epic performances!
