Re: Comic books and Manga
Not necessarily, Knocking on Heavens door is an excellent movie on its own.
It will give a bit of an insight into the series and characters, but there will obviously be a lot you'll miss out on. The movie's a bit esoteric but still well worth a place in anyone's favourites.

Final found out the title of the video I'm missing and it is "Wicked City".. I hate it when that happens!! LOL
Re: Comic books and Manga
Bit of an odd one Bloke, cross between film noir and pulp fiction i would say
I remember it being pretty bloody violent, been a long time though.

Very Film Noir but it holds the attention. I found I got bored with Akira and other films from the early days.
Whilst searching I came across some pics of "Max Payne" the film with Mark Wahlberg. I love both the games for its story telling and overall feel but live action hollywood blockbuster.. .mmm.. we'll have to wait and see.

Re: Comic books and Manga
I looked for more info on wikipedia and it said it was a bit of a hentai, SO IM OUT! but u know everyone belives what they see on wikipedia

Re: Comic books and Manga
It's not hentai, that's just typical labelling.
It's like saying every film with sex in it is a porno, if you know what i mean.
Don't get me wrong metal, it's a bit ecchi, good bit of fan service, but there's a good storyline and premise hidden away too. High production value, art etc.
Borderline, but not hentai.

Gotta agree there Advent. It's not just ya run of the mill drivvelly sex for the sake of it. It's generally there for a reason and that is the story. I started watching it during lunch and it's an easy film to watch (unlike Urotsokidoji - all sex scenes aside!!)
