I agree with you Dharma. I am pro parental controls as well. In a year or two when my boy can turn the xbox on and play for himself i will turn the controls on so he cant play any games that he shouldnt be (hes 3 1/2 at the mo). He already has his own profile on Windows that has extreme parental controls on. He can only open Purble Place, peggle and get onto a controlled YouTube account (and for a 3 year old his computer skills amaze me!!).DHARMA AGENT wrote:Ok, so I didn't watch the whole vid, but I do know I am pro parental controls. What rattles me is people moaning about the way everything effects their kids without taking an intrest in how to help themselves. As you know parental controls have been in place on things for 10 years. Ratings have been on games for 15 years.
What the guy was saying was true about this as well. The relationship between two characters in this game develops into a (maybe, depending on your choices) sexual relationship. its not a case of a guy raping and pilaging. Its consentual and loving. There are a lot of games though that do portray women as sex objects, but this is a critisicm of society of general.
Theres no excuse other than weak parenting for buying a 10 year old an 18 rated game.
p.s. Thank god we dont get Fox in the UK!
