So you might have not seen me in a while...
As you guys might have noticed, that pesky .Cwmagain hasen't logged in for quite some time now. The reason for this is twofold:
1) I got kicked out of college, or rather, I have been denied further education at that college, the reason is that my college life was something that ran away from an American Pie - or better yet, Van wilder movie, however without the happy ending. I have some good memories of that time, and learnt alot, especially outside of class ( wich I did not attain very often ).
This has led to me having to find a job. Being a regular at some pubs and having a lot of friends working in pubs helped me to quickly hired as staff. I am now 'Chef de partie' at Celtic Ireland Bruges. It is an awesome job, most of my collegues have been friends and the ones that weren't are quickly becoming so. Alas I work most evenings and noons... The days I DO have of though are also not an option due to...
2) My laptop has kicked the bucket one (1) day out of warranty. I'm not sure what's the problem, Basic testing indicates a hardware fault in either the screen or videocard. I now have to use an Acer Aspire supermarket rig thats about 4 years old and not qualified to play minesweeper, let alone competitive TF2. I need to find someway to fix it or else buy a new laptop - Problem is I need a couple of months to save for various more urgent things first. ( Rent, Insurance... )
There it is lads. You might not hear from me ingame for a while. I'll try and pop in from time to time on the forums though!

Take care.. hope you get things sorted so you can jump back on the server. Bear in mind that something that is just outside of warrant may still earn you points on getting a factory repair or replacement. It's worth exploring just in case it bears fruit. Don't be quick to dismiss it.

Howdy Cwmagain, here have some technical babble from the National Consumer Agency
"Q11. I have a faulty good but my guarantee is out of date by one month. Is there anything I can do?
A guarantee/warranty is a bonus and cannot affect or diminish your statutory rights with the seller. A guarantee/warranty is a written statement given by a manufacturer or a company indicating they will repair or replace a product within a specified time after it was purchased. You may decide to claim under a guarantee during its period of validity, but cannot be obliged to do so.
Therefore you may, if the reasonable lifetime of a given product exceeds the time period of any warranty, pursue the seller in respect of your statutory rights - 'The Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980'. If the trader refuses to offer redress for the faulty goods and you have exhausted all other options you may wish to pursue the matter with the Small Claims Court.
A guarantee may be useful to a third party, however, as it extends to anyone possessing the goods during the guarantee period. This contrasts with the statutory rights of a purchaser, which extend only to the original purchaser of a good and not to any subsequent recipient or owner of that product. This distinction in important to note in respect of items given as gifts or the purchase/use of second hand items."

Hope you kept the receipt, or credit card statement as proof of purchase, good luck with that.

If you're lucky it may only be the cable between the two that needs replacingCwmagain wrote:
