Star Trek TNG was a very cultured show!
Sure they had episodes about Sherlock Holmes, Mark Twain, and if I remember correctly, one episode started with Patrick Stewart doing one of the soliloquies from The Tempest.
Have you ever seen or read Waiting for Godot before though?
Personally, I find Beckett to be very hard going, except when he's a ghost, and on Sean Hughes old tv show.
Damnit, couldn't find any clips of Beckett on youtube, he used to ring up Sean Hughes from beyond the grave at the end of each episode and tell him a pretty crappy joke!

Ye I've read some of it and see bits of different productions so I know what to expect, it's not exactly your ordinary stage show. A bit of proper literature every now and then won't kill me.LazyEagle wrote: Have you ever seen or read Waiting for Godot before though?

I will be on today, but tonight is $10 all you can drink night, and tomorrow is $4 all you can drink night. I think I might have to make it an early evening 2night.

Re: As another Friday rolls around......
Won't be one for most of the night, out drinking. Will try and roll on to get some drunken play in.
Re: As another Friday rolls around......
Unlikely for me too. I'm getting the Monkey Island Special Edition tonight and a friend of mine has really gotten me into Etrian Odyessy 2 for the DS :3
If both manage to fail me, I'm sure I'll be on.

Re: As another Friday rolls around......
hmm, got both and only played the first Etrian Odysee for about 2h, then it turned into the mega Grind-RPG where most fights against harder enemies weren't too hard, but you couldn't afford them because potions, etc were waaaay too expensive.
I mean, it's all windy stairs. I'm not being funny.
Re: As another Friday rolls around......
First one is very hard alright, but just needs a helping handful of grind to push you through. The second however, is slightly easier, somewhat less grindy and much more fun. Landsknechts are useless now but a lot of classes have been given a boost, and a new class, War Magus are fantastic. Much faster healers than Medics if you give them a sword (as in, they'll heal before an enemy attacks).
Dark hunters and Protecters are absoloutely fantastic now in the second too.
I'll admit though, managing the constantly rising Inn and Hospital cost is a bitch.

I actually saw Patrick Stewart starring in 'The Tempest' in London a couple of years back, he's awesome! And I have a photo of myself stood next to him (in Madam Tussauds...)LazyEagle wrote:Sure they had episodes about Sherlock Holmes, Mark Twain, and if I remember correctly, one episode started with Patrick Stewart doing one of the soliloquies from The Tempest.
