Ha yeh it is ;) And I'm actually gonna be starting to build a robot on Friday which has gotta autonomously get from one side of the room to the other asap, competing against the rest of the group for marks! Hope my PIC skills are up 2 it...But learning about embedded systems, microprocessors, signals etc also. The course is awesome, though there are some less enjoyable bits. And I'm at Reading University :D

Saw on the BBC news today that some clever bods have managed to grow neurons over channels cut in a piece of silicon. Should revolutionise prosthetics and you can see the possible applications for brain injuries etc. once they get past the ethics...

Haha sorry fester they've gotta make it accross without human input...I could build a robot to operate the controller though!

Yeh I saw that. But the less I hear about neurons atm th better...I've got to get an Artificial Neural Network working by Tuesday and it's not as fun as it might sound.

On a related note, remember the guy a few years back who had a microchip placed in his arm? He's one of my lecturers. Kevin Warwick, if the name means anything to you

But how do you wind it up first? You have to have humans to give it power.. or a swift kick start from one side of the room to the other heheheh

So you are studying in Reading? I found this: http://www.kevinwarwick.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
