K'nex FTW! Still got a huge pile of that around, not touched it for years tho. The best set I had was building a 6 foot + 'Space tower' which only just fitted in my house!

I messed with k'nex long after the appropriate age, made a working crossbow with it!

Aye but they're so darn expensive! >_<

I was umm, browsing around Toys 'R Us a while ago, not only do they do cheap PC games (I actually got the orange box from there) but they still do cheap lego.
Anyone remember Meccano? Basically Lego for the unimaginitive?

Up until 3 years ago I still had my Dads meccano 7 set.

and Bayko (very advanced lego using rod as stabilisers to allow block to slide between.

Considering I'm 34 and my dad is almost 60 they have been around some time. Although I never really appreciated the Bayko set, Meccano was fun.
I'm more a technical lego man myself.

So much fun and not enough hours.

Hmm, I never did really like meccano, too fiddly and it took too long to achieve results. Now k'nex, I could snap together in a jiffy! Anyone remember Techno Games a few years back? That inspired me to build a 'sprinter' robot out of k'nex and a power pack, which actually worked pretty well!
