Cheers for the heads-up joe. Hard to believe alright, but sometimes all people see is the word free :D

Steam users should make sure too that they have registered their email address via the steam client control panel. This adds another layer of protection if perhaps someone else in their household was silly enough to follow such a link.

Unfortunately some of the kids of today are drawn into the "something for nothing" notion as so much is heavily promoted these days and so fall for these links.
Rarely can you get something for nothing.

Lasy fucking hackers, they just copy pasted the code from the actual steam website (presumably changed the login form to send the details, but couldn't see code for that). Didn't even mention free games. How people could fall for that is beyond me.

Then again, free games could tempt idiots, i guess

In fairness Devil if someone follows a link in a thread called Steam scammers again, and puts in their login details, they don't deserve a computer ;)

There are people who can't tie their own shoes without at least 3 people helping, yet somehow they manage to get on the internet. It's really scary if you think about it.
