dont know if any of u heard but there was a decent earthquake in canada near the ontario-frogtown border, measured a 5.0 which for canada is huge, only 2 quakes have measured more in the countrys history and those were a 5.9 and a 5.8 both in the onatrio area.

There's a world of difference between 5 and 5.9 but 5 is not bad. Dudley, where I live now had one in 2002 that registered 4.8. I lived about 110 miles any and it juddered the light fittings a bit.

Doesn't the strength double for ever whole number so a 6 mag is twice as powerful as a 5?

although looking at Wikipedias descriptions 5-5.9 is apparently a moderate earthquake.

the quake in canada was felt as far as upstate newyork so its most likly is the same quake
