I've just watched Gameswipe by Charlie Brooker, in a similar vein to his screenwipe and newswipe programs. I think it's well worth a watch and he gives some very fair assessments. Also plenty of humour included. Seriously, it's 50 mins well spent.

Not quite Ben Yahtzee Croshaw, but still worth a look :)

Charlie Brooker's great :) I enjoyed the episode so far but it's certainly more directed toward those who don't play many (or any) video games. Yahtzee might be more funny for the likes of us but Brooker's mass appeal is what keeps me going.

I like the way he tells the mainstream media they basically a bunch of cunts.

They need to just get their heads of of their Daily Mail and actually look at the media they target.

Its brilliant when a leading figure decries gaming as destroying families and all that bollocks and then when asked what games they have played, they say they have only been shown a few minutes of GTA or Manhunt! It boils my blood!!! :gun:

The footage of that news team in the states with the guy playing Manhunt on the Wii saying it was a murder trainer. Now i like the Wii but the guy was flailing a plastic remote around for maximum look at me impact but on screen it registered one in 3 hits swipes maybe.

Also swinging a light plastic electonic pointer in your well lit living room is hardly training for stalking a victim through grimy, drak and damp prisons, with a heavy arse hammer and crashing it into someones chestwhile their blood explodes up you.

sorry rage over!! Its friday and my misses still hasnt dropped so I'll eb on later shooting without drinking. :(

Some of the humour bits he throws in are pretty good as also, lol @ neighbourhood simulation etc, or him attaching stories to the guys he was killing.

Hehe, yeah him waiving pleasntly at old people was funny, and pushing Mylene Klass into a canal!

Was anyone else a bit freaked out by those 2 scottish guys that really liked retro games, and I mean REALLY liked them. He was crazy passionate!
