How can anyone believe this?!

Post by Jonnywhy » Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:42 pm

Come on, if it was a hoax it would all have surfaced a long time ago, I'd say about 39 years. Why do people want to hold on to the belief that the landings were hoaxed, indeed it was a staggering event but a) why would it be faked and b) if it was faked then surely of the huge number of people involved we would know by now. Grr, this stuff really annoys me!

Along similar lines, it's hilarious reading the conspiracy theorys for Elvis not dying in the 70s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elvis_is_a ... s_lives.3F" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Couldn't resist :P

Both arguments just nit-pick and then let their imaginations run wild. Same goes for fighting arguments against their claims.

I like this side of the story to be honest:

conspiration theory's are pretty fun sometimes. But there is a video of a fake chinise space expedition to space, as it was filmed under water, we could see bubbles coming out of the helmet and going up....

here´s one of the videos

Would it though?

Until I read a lot of this page, I thought the conspiricy theorists were all crackers.
There are some interesting points made though!

Have you ever seen Bubba HoTep?

Absolutely brilliant movie, and one that I've slotted into my brain as the true history of Elvis.

I haven't seen it but apparently the mythbusters episode on moon hoaxes addresses most of the standard bullshit the 'theorists' come out with...must see if I can find it somewhere. It's not hard to believe people can convince themselves that NASA was lying....look at how many people believe they need to hand over large amounts of money to get rid of alien ghosts residing in their bodies.

http://www.badastronomy.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (although that url doesn't go to the right page for some reason :-? ) has some good counter arguments aswell. http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the direct link.

Off topicish:

:HJ:

Slightly off topic but along the same lines: Simon Singh ('author, journalist and TV producer, specialising in science and mathematics' to quote himself) is being sued by the British Chiropractic Association :butt: because he wrote an article implying certain areas of Chiropractic weren't based on evidence. They apparently took exception to that and instead of taking the high moral ground and using peer reviewed articles as any proper medical/scientific organisation would do show him to be talking bullshit they decided to sue him. A more recent article by him. and a campaign to stop this bullshit.
