only have 2 new toys myself which i got in my first game after i got my new modem, nothin since, as for the system u can still get ur toys the old fastion way so basicly they are just making it more accessable to ppl who dont wanna play a class long enough to do 75% of the achivments

if by old fashinoned you mean through acheivements then your wrong you cant

Actually I've seen a few people get pyro/scout/medic milestones, after which they immediately found the weapons that were available at those milestones, so for the time being it's still possible.
Also, according to valve's blog we should be able to trade weapons at one point, which is why we keep finding duplicates. This also gives them an excuse to release new weapons without needing major class updates. Personally I'd preffer we started finding old stuff AFTER we have at least one of every current weapon... But it should help new players get their stuff faster and not have to grind achievements (much).

And more on-topic, yea, it kinda sucks. Everyone still plays spy/sniper with the sole purpose of getting bored of the new unlocks.

Spectators get weapons, so TF2 would be that crazy world

It's true you get nothing for nothing and they should nip that loophole so you have to play the game. It's just as bad as farming... to the extreme of almost being worse!!
