steam beta

for those that dont use -noborder and want the intarwebs while playing, the new steam beta has a web knob on the overlay so you can surf w/o the alt-tab pain
it's beta, so if steam pains you, this may hurt more, but I'm using it n seems no worse than normal!

Wont the overlay use IE though?
That would be the one issue Id have with it

ya it does use ie. Thats why noborder rocks, but still handy for playing sourcetunes/streaming audio/wotevah without burps

Yeah I'll have to use that noborder one. Havent really bothered but will try it when i get home.
I try to not use IE unless I really have to!!

Noborder is a revelation, I'd definately recommend it

If you run TF2 in window mode allowing easy alt-tabbing during game, then you get the usual windows border around it (minimise button, etc). no border removes the border essentially making it a full screen game but still allowing the alt tabbing! Result
