..not exactly but I had to post this up.
This is a new email to all employees with an old attachment of a warning about XP Antivirus program. I think it covers all bases!!
This is just a reminder that this program is still doing the rounds and is still a pain in the neck to remove. It is often installed inadvertently from programs that are received via email or from internet popups that make you believe that without it your life will end.
Reassuringly though, if you DO NO install it your life will continue as it has for many a day. Although if you do feel it necessary to install this monstrosity there is a large possibility that your life expectancy may shorten.
Please please please don't install it or anything else unless you have an absolute need for the program. If in doubt please ask. I may be grumpy, over worked and under pressure but that increases when I have to do more than I need to do.
Thanks for listening!

Hi All,
I have now come across the above program three times within the company and have read numerous posts by other people discussing the program and all its faults.
Please note that this program is NOTHING to do with MICROSOFT or is part of WINDOWS XP standard installation or is required as part of WINDOWS XP (you PC's operating system).
It is a nasty piece of work with one purpose and that is to convince YOU that you have some serious virus infections and you need to BUY that product in order to get rid of these infections. It doesn't stop there either.
IT IS ALSO A NASTY PIECE OF SOFTWARE TO TRY AND REMOVE AND DOES IT'S BEST TO SERIOUSLY BUGGER YOUR SYSTEM.
PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE WHAT EVER YOU DO.
If you have this program installed please let me know immediately. I'm unsure as to where this comes from but the likelihood is from either a piece of email with an attachment or from unscrupulous websites.
Please be careful where you surf and remain vigilent to what you install.
For your information. Virus protection is dealt with via the servers locating in Sheffield and Westbrom. For those users that have laptops and are based away from the office you should have a Virus software already installed called AVG Anti-Virus.
Thanks and best regards,
