Re: Snow in the US
My godness, I heard about the 60 centimetres tall snow in the news but actually seeing it is much more shocking. Here in Hungary we only had issues with buses, trains getting delayed due to slippy roads and such, but that's like nothing compared to what you have there... Wish you the best...

#1 Ice sheet

#3 Those bottom branches of the tree are usually above my head.
#4 My fail attempt at trying to take a picture of the snow falling.

I wish we had that much snow here ....it's actually ridiculous for an alpine country.

Listen: you DO NOT want that much snow, we had over 2 meters in less than a week about 2 winters ago, You couldn't Drive, you couldn't meet up with friends, you couldn't even go to the store and get some supplies!

dude ...I don't meet friends, I don't drive cars and I really seldom leave the house.
Guess what, I couldn't give a flying fuck if we had 5 meters of snow ....adventure time.
Grab a shovel and hope you don't hit a kid on the way to the supermarket or even better, prepare for winter and store food at home.
Only one thing, I would worry if my roof could stand the pressure of that much snow.
...hmmm ...better move into a bunker, underground fortress rulez over a house anyway.
