dintbo has been a nickname of mine for a while. My real name is Fintan, and when predictive text came out first my name would come up as dintbo. bosco is the freak in my avatar, as anyone who grew up ion Ireland in the 80's would know. The bit only got added when I started playing here cos everyone started calling me bosco.

About 10 years ago I got a bit stoned with my mates and we were discussing band side projects. I liked the idea of a covers band - but rather than do straight covers do a 'Shirehorses' type thing and make up your own lyrics. So 'Sing' by Travis would become 'Stink' and so on. I thought 'Pantsformers' would be a good name for the band (we are all transformers fans, and making up ridiculous song lyrics prompted the adding of 'pants' to 'formers'.

We decided we would have to have alternative preudonyms. My real name is Gertrude so obviously I became Johnimus Prime. I started using it as a profile name for games and online stuff and it stuck.

originally when i first started playing FPS's like 8 years ago or something like that, my name was Cpt_Zed cause it sounded cool at the time. then when i started playing gmod it just didn't fit the game play style so i shortened it to Zed. then i became co-admin on my favorite gmod server so i added the tags making it *FBO*Zed (S/A). then we ran out of money and interest and closed the server and i started playing tf2 again. i randomly joined a server with all-talk and instant respawn enabled a.k.a. Festers Place. then i realized i still had the tags and i took them off, becoming Zed again.

Similar: Jonny from Jonathan. And Why because it is part of my surname, so i 'cut and pasted' two bits of my name together when making my msn address (yes very sad I know, being the first online thing I can remember doing).

Bizarrely Jonfon also from Jonathan :p

Jonfon got further mutated into things like Jf, Joanfone, PingPong, NifNoj, JonnieFonnie and JonFon-dlesYoungBoys (had to veto that one).

Bizarrely Jonfon also from Jonathan :p

Jonfon got further mutated into things like Joanfone, PingPong, NifNoj, JonnieFonnie and JonFon-dlesYoungBoys (had to veto that one).

Alas, as I am actually an eagle that is simply lazy, I have no real story to go with my name, which is simply a description of who and what I am!

However, as I know the concept of an eagle who can play TF2 is mindblowing to some, and could possibly attract some unwanted attention to the server, I will pretend that the following is the story of how I got my moniker!

Back in the year 2000, I was heading down to the Jazz Festival in Cork (oddly enough to go to a US House DJ), where I was meeting some friends who were a day ahead of me. As I left the bus station in Waterford, I sent a text saying "As the LazyEagle leaves his nest, the entire forest cowers at his impressive wingspan" or something along those lines. The recipient thought this was brilliant and so we continued referring to me as such for the weekend. From there, it pretty much stuck, and I began using it as my stage name for my brief foray into the dance music world, and later online gaming.
