Well the problem is the studios Bbloke, and I think we've seen a increase in quality from the ones produced by the Marvel Studios themselves (so far Iron Man and the second Hulk).BBloke wrote:Oh god.. Not more Spiderman. LOL. Marvel must be raking it in... shame for Stan Lee though.. even though he gets a cameo in most of the films. I'm getting the feeling there is going to be a sudden drop in entertainment from these comic book to movie adaptations. Well more than seen in previously films.
IIRC we've had:
Xmen 1, 2, 3 & Wolverine
Iron Man with the sequel soon to be on it's way
The Avengers are coming too
The Hulk (shite shite shite)
The Incredible Hulk (more like it!)
Elecktra (WTF was going on there!)
The Punisher (the who?)
The Fantastic Four
Daredevil
Fantastic Four is at Fox, who made such a balls of it that they are also rebooting. they also have Xmen and Daredevil and Electra might have been there too. Spiderman is at Sony.
Thing is, they retain the rights so long as they keep making films with the characters, otherwise they will revert back to Marvel, who will treat their properties with respect.
Just look at upcoming Marvel adaptations leading to the Avengers movie. We have Iron Man 2, with Mickey Fucking Rourke, we have a Captain America film set in WW2, we have Kenneth Branagh making a Thor film that will be set as much in Asgard as on Earth (Anthony Hopkins is playing Odin) and then we might even get Edgar Wrights Ant-Man, if we're really lucky!
