I often ask myself why i play games.
The excitement of exploring new worlds, bizzare experience. Tests of skill, coordination, tactical thinking, endurance and ability.
Escapism too, reality is boring as hell.
I just love to play i guess, console or pc, multi or singleplayer, kiddie game or high end RTS. I love them all.
How many of you does this apply to
Re: How many of you does this apply to
Well I'm a very sporty person, closer to being underweight than overweight, I don't abuse substances, and I'm not at all depressed. I just love to play games in my spare time, because they are enjoyable and can be highly competitive.

Re: How many of you does this apply to
Since my move I haven't been so active but prior to that I would often walk from work during summer... would 45 mins or so.
I'd also play baseball on Sunday (all day) and Wednesday evening (training) and smoke my arse off in between. I must say though the first two weeks of stopping my general fitness just doubled... running 2 bases (180ft) full tilt wouldn't leave me as breathless.
I also went through an extended period of having a lot of energy and needing little sleep (approx 3 hours a night). I saw a doc about it and she said "insomnia is normal for the first 2-3 days)... my stint last almost 12 weeks.
