Advent your powers of deduction astound me

I'm a huge classic rock fan, though I also listen to a large amount of metal (in flames being "melodic death metal")

I've been to a couple of gigs of the kind of music I listen to in order to take some photos for a danish rock magazine (that made grammatical sense in my mind)

(and if anybody knows anything about photography, those were all at f4 as i don't have a fast lens - am getting a 50mm f1.4, mmmmmm)

I was just wondering, i'm a big metal head and have a soft spot for In Flames.
As for the whole "melodic death metal" moniker they seem to have acquired, In Flames haven't been death metal (in any sense) since Colony. I still love them, have every album from Black Ash Inheritance right up to Sense of Purpose.
For real melodic death metal you should be listening to Opeth.

Well my fav albums are most definitely Reroute to Remain and Come Clarity, I don't often listen to the others... and I love opeth (8 albums/CDs)

And for you more soft rock people, I'd say Black Label Society are one of the best, <3 Zakk Wylde
