First run!

Post by S.COREA » Thu Jan 08, 2009 3:27 am

Some of you had expressed concern, that my passion for dumpling eating had started to become a health hazard, and we're in turn worried that I wouldn't be around for those special moments down the road, ie. our grandchildren, children's wedding, nay even children's graduation.

I am proud to announce I have completed my first run of 2009!

2.38 miles in 30 minutes.... (not amazing... and part of it was walked)

But damnit, you gotta start somewhere!

Here's to seeing my toes again! (lol)

Good for you fella! I've been there myself and I know how damn difficult it is.

Just make sure you keep it up regularly and if you push for improvement with each run you'll soon be flying those 3 miles!

PS: I love dumplings.

GJ Corea. It's a shame that you can't buy your own personal L4D hunter from the Valve store. You'd be guaranteed to get fit very fast with one of those buggers chasing after you!

I did a 10k run (about 6-7 miles I think) a couple of years ago for charity, took 57 mins. Hopefully I'll do one again and smash that time :)

Corea you should have someone recording you each time. Then you can make a cheesy 80s montage where each shot shows a little improvement. Then at the end its an image of you in your brightest shorts looking over the city, ready to take on the world.

I like the way your head works.

Couldn't find the actual video, but this is actually pretty good.
